NOT DISABLED FRIENDLY. When I arrived the first thing I noticed is all the doors have a step up so if you're in a wheelchair don't bother there are no handicapped accessible rooms. The lobby was very dark and intimidating to a woman traveling alone, as well as the rooms . My porch light was not working at all. The room I had was extremely outdated and smelled of cigarettes... when I went to open the window to air it out I discovered that it was completely broken and only being held in by the lock, luckily I was able to reassemble it so that it was closed but did not feel that it was Secure. When my friends arrived they were turned away because they had a service dog for visual impairment. He would not allow a dog into the room at all under any circumstance even though it violates the disability act. After the owner screaming at my friends in the parking lot telling them to get off his property immediately, I did not feel safe there without them so we all chose to stay at Super 8 which welcomed all of us and the service dog and felt much safer.
Great basic hotel at a great basic price. Staff was friendly and place was quiet. For a smoker like myself it was nice to have outdoor access right outside the door. Oh, and the water pressure in the shower was great!
Very reasonable prices, room is clean and comfortable. Employees are very friendly and accommodating.
This stay was the most memorible of our lives. We have been staying at Clifwood for our vacation for the past two years. The service is exceptional and only fools would pass up this budget friendly establishment. The rooms are extremely cozy and clean. The owner is one of the most polite gentleman that I have met and will do anything to make your stay exceptional. Thanks Clifwood see you in the summer!!
The bathroom was newly renovated and very nice. Linens were a very good quality. Those were the good points but for me did not outweigh the stinky dark room with a window that's basically ready to fall open...
I stayed here for a long term work contract and it was awesome! I absolutely loved being able to walk right out the door to my car parked in front of my room.The rooms are cozy, clean, and safe. The owner is friendly, helpful, and sincerely watches out for you while you are here- as a woman traveling alone safety is paramount! If I needed anything for my room, had a concern of any kind it was addressed immediately by the owner. My cleaning schedule was different than the others staying in the motel due my shift work- they were so accommodating to work around my schedule so I could work and rest without interruption. It was very quiet here as well which I greatly appreciated. The location is so convenient for most anything you would need- shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions and the beautiful Mississippi River right out your back door! I highly recommend this jewel mom and pop motel for anyone- I know if I'm back in the area it will be my 1st and only choice! Thank you for a great stay!
